Arthur Lee Land is a vibrant performer, songwriter, teacher, recording artist, bandleader, live-looper, producer and educator.

Based out of Lyons Colorado, Arthur Lee Land renders a modern eclectic fusion of electrified Americana and acoustic driven roots rock. Arthur’s known for his joy filled innovative live performances. You will find him performing with established Artists blending his stellar guitar work into their sound. The diverse musical Influences of Americana roots rock, blues, country, funk, bluegrass and world beat are evident in Arthur’s melodic improvisational guitar work. Arthur’s main instrument is his signature psychedelic hand-painted 1955 Fender B-Bender Telecaster. At the heart of “ARTHUR LEE LAND" is the creative songwriting collaboration of Arthur and his non-performing lyricist and wife Carol Lee.

The Arthur Lee Land TRIO - Where Colorado Twang Meets the Funk, invokes a joyful and humorous dialogue of musical improvisation between Arthur, Will Trask (drums) and Zach Jackson (bass). The diverse musical influences are evident in the band’s stimulating conversations which can lead the audience into magical realms of transcendence through driving electrified and acoustic arrangements of Arthur Lee Land original songs co-written with his non-performing lyricist Carol Lee. Twang is Dead is an extension of the TRIO highlighting new arrangements of good ol’ Grateful Dead songs rearranged by Arthur providing an exciting fresh energy to a much loved and overplayed song book featuring special guests from the jam band world’s favorite players.

Beginning in 2000, Arthur has pioneered the technology of looping multiple instruments live. He is unique in his ability to perform a complete show playing full song-form loops. His performances featuring The Art of Live-Looping affords his audience the opportunity to see a behind-the-scenes-overview of how music gets recorded in the studio, layer by layer. The listener actually hears music differently by having the ability to zoom in and out of the sonic picture similar to looking at the pointillist artwork of George Seurat: zooming in to hear/see the individual parts/dots and then zooming out to hear/see the whole soundscape/painting.

Arthur has developed, curated and hosted the Kinfolk Revival Workshop stage, beginning in 2015, at the Northwest String Summit outside Portland, Oregon, where you can find him ecstatically collaborating with many of the countries finest musicians. Arthur was musical director for legendary folk-rock icon Donovan in a special performance on his Sunshine Superman 50th Anniversary Tour featuring members of Elephant Revival and Railroad Earth. Using his lifetime of talent, he was honored to be the musical director for a Grateful Dead Tribute at Red Rocks Amphitheater, highlighting over 20 Colorado artists including his Trio for Film On The Rocks in 2016

In the fall of 2014 Arthur joined Great American Taxi, a Colorado Jam band with a long history. Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth produced the band’s latest album, Dr. Feelgood's Traveling Medicine Show, released in February 2017 with 5 songs penned by Carol Lee and Arthur.

The 2013 studio album Cracked Open, offers a groundbreaking style that is animated by the integration of sophisticated musical juxtapositions such acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, West African and Indian percussion with the rich wide waves of house music. “Fresh!.. Arthur has a unique, creative approach in his music.” Grammy Award winning producer Bil Vorndik stated. The title track Cracked Open was released as a single to Commercial AAA radio and was well received with several album tracks receiving substantial airplay throughout the U.S. and Europe.

A two-song CD: Happy Cow was released to Folk Radio DJ's worldwide in 2010. Arthur met Francis Thicke and visited his organic dairy farm in Fairfield, Iowa where he was inspired and hired to write the campaign song anthem, Happy Cow. Thicke, a sustainable dairy farmer with a Ph.D, was campaigning for Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture against a candidate backed by a corporate giant.

Dragonfly combines diverse influences into a style that is entirely unique: Afrograss Folk Rock. This all-acoustic 2005 album was produced by Grammy Award Nominated songwriter and producer Wendy Waldman. The recording gives birth to a new genre, layering West African percussion under some of the finest bluegrass acoustic musicianship around — all tastefully encapsulated into infectious original songwriting announcing the arrival of a genuinely innovative voice onto the contemporary music scene.

Arthur Lee Land has been a much loved staff member as the guitar instructor at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Song School on Planet Bluegrass in Lyons CO since 2003. Arthur’s inspirational and interactive Art of Live-Looping educational outreach programs have reached over 50,000 students in over 27 states. Arthur’s lifetime struggles with ADHD has made him passionate about educating and reframing ADHD/ADD as a gift of the HUNTER brain wiring and not a disorder.
